Universal
Mechanism
Junior
lets you build various plane mechanisms and
simulate their dynamics. You can create systems with any number of rigid bodies
connected with various kinematic joints, sliders, springs, pendulums, and forces.
A simple double click lets you set parameters of force, rotation, and movement,
then you can animate the mechanism to watch its operation. A graphing function
lets you view the mathematical representation of the movement of the mechanism.
In addition, three interactive demos let you experience the program actions by
building a pendulum, mounting a box on spring, and then graphing a pendulum's
motions with and without resisting torque. Online help leads you into the
other program features.
